September 2025, our CHART of the MONTH
Health tech tools are becoming embedded in the everyday practice of specialists worldwide – but which ones are gaining most traction?
As part of our Navigator365 research, we asked Spanish cardiologists which digital tools they’ve used in their daily practice over the past three months. Among the top five tools by reach, mobile apps remain a staple, while smart devices and wearables continue to play an important role, with reach holding steady.
When we overlay the data from the past year or two, what’s striking is how quickly artificial intelligence (AI)-driven tools have moved from the margins to the mainstream in this specialty.
- Conversational AI assistants (e.g. ChatGPT) have shown the sharpest increase, with usage more than doubling since 2023. Nearly half of Spanish cardiologists now say they use them in their daily work.
- AI to aid diagnosis and AI to aid administration are also making their mark, both reaching around a quarter of cardiologists in 2025, up from lower levels in 2024.
We are actively investigating through our research how these different AI roles will fit into clinical workflows, but it’s clear that generative AI and other AI-powered tools are no longer just experiments. They’re already shaping day-to-day practice in Spanish cardiology – and their role is only likely to expand further.
📢 These findings come from our brand-new Navigator365™ Core datasets (Q3 2025), which are now being added to the platform.
